The Elsa Peretti cuffs and necklace Tracee Ellis Ross wore to the 2021 NAACP Image Awards may be one of the most referenced jewelry images of the year. Not long after, the Emmy-nominated actress became one of the faces of the brand, and tonight she paired a red sequined Valentino with another iconic Tiffany designer—Jean Schlumberger.

The French-born Schlumberger is famous for his oversized bold creations that often referenced nature but never in an overly precious way. He also made a name for himself as the preferred jeweler for women like Jackie Kennedy and Bunny Mellon and Slim Keith. Most recently, his iconic Bird On A Rock pendant became custom cuff links for Jay Z in a new series of Tiffany ads. That lapel pin he is wearing is Schlumberger too.

Ross and her stylist Karla Welch chose several Schlumberger pieces for Emmy night including a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Stitches bracelet in platinum and 18k yellow gold with 331 round brilliant diamonds, totaling over 41 total carats, a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Cooper bracelet in platinum and 18k yellow gold with 468 round brilliant diamonds, totaling over 26 total carats, and Tiffany & Co. 2021 Blue Book Collection earrings in platinum and 18k yellow gold with diamonds—one square emerald-cut diamond, over 3 carats; eight round brilliant diamonds, over 3 total carats; one round brilliant diamond, over 3 carats; and eight square emerald-cut diamonds, over 3 total carats.

The total value is over $1 million. Welch calls the look “effortless, sexy and chic." And given the iconic Schlumberger's recent reemergence on the red carpet, we might add timely and timeless. We have a sense we will be seeing much more.
