These behind-the-scenes pics from the 2020 Golden Globes are giving us serious FOMO

We always know we’re going to get some great entertainment when tuning into the Golden Globes every year. Our fave stars are dressed to the nines. The films and television shows we love to watch are recognized for their genius. And watching our idols interact with each other is, for whatever reason, beyond thrilling. But perhaps even more entertaining than the awards show itself are the behind-the-scenes pics posted to celebs’ social media accounts.

We just want to hang out with them before, during, and after the Globes. Is that too much to ask?

We’ve rounded up some of the best behind-the-scenes snaps from last night, January 5th, and we’re warning you now: The FOMO is real. You think it’s rough when your friends hang out without you? Well, it’s even worse when celebs hang out together and you have to live vicariously through a screen. Rude! Here are some of our favorite behind-the-scenes moments from the 2020 Golden Globes.

Michelle Williams brought her biggest fan—BFF Busy Philipps.

Goodnight my bbs.

Michelle Williams took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress In A Miniseries or Motion Picture for TV for her role in Fosse/Verdon, and her best gal pal was there to cheer her on. “Goodnight my bbs,” Philipps captioned her pic, taken at their table.

Rita Wilson was ghosted by her beauty team.

Wilson, actress and wife of the 2020 Cecil B. DeMille Award-winner, Tom Hanks, vented via Instagram about her hair and makeup person being super late.

Lucky for Wilson, it’s really hard for her to look bad. She looked absolutely stunning supporting her husband at the Globes an hour after her panicked post.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas pregamed limo-style.

The couple, who appeared as presenters together during the event, shared a limo to the red carpet.

Shailene Woodley got stuck in traffic because, well, L.A.

Oof. It’s fun to know that all those black cars are filled with celebs. However, if we were the Big Little Lies star immersed in that sea of cars, we’d be pretty pissed off.

Reese Witherspoon dared to wear white.

And wish her luck, we did. We know we couldn’t handle that much white when there’s food and wine involved.

Olivia Colman showed that it takes a village.

Colman, who won the Globe for Best Actress in a Drama TV Series for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, posted a pic of her team working on her before the event. When you’re dealing with a potential winner (and a TV queen), hair, makeup, and fashion must be on point.

Octavia Spencer gave some love to her wig.

Having been struck down with the flu, Octavia Spencer wasn’t able to attend the Globes, but she didn’t want her lewk to go to waste. Spencer uploaded a pic of her would-be hair to her Instagram and wished all the nominees well.

So sad, but so funny.

Ben Platt kept it comfy before the show.

Platt, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy TV Series for his role in The Politician, chilled out before the Globes with BFF Molly Gordon. Once dressed and at the event, Platt pulled a fast one on his other BFF, Beanie Feldstein:

And then this glorious pic happened, and we believe it should be painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

Angelic, beautiful, suave—all the adjectives. It’s just all the adjectives.

Jason Momoa did a quick head bang before attending his first Golden Globes.

Was he grooving out or just perfecting that gorgeous wave in his hair? The world may never know. Momoa, who stars in the Apple TV series See, presented alongside Zoë Kravitz, daughter of his wife, Lisa Bonet. It was truly a family affair.

Sofia Vergara shared her treasure trove.

Look at all that BLING. We’re not sure how she was able to choose from all these accessories, but ultimately, Vergara picked to wear some sparkly hoops to match her dazzling dress.

The Modern Family star donned the perfect amount of glitz, in our opinion.

Salma Hayek posted pictures from the afterparty.

Patricia Arquette in a viking hat is our new aesthetic.

After Arquette’s call-to-action speech, we’re pretty proud of her, too.

And Gwyneth Paltrow posted what probably every attendee was thinking.

Too true, Gwyn. Too true.

Ansel Elgort and girlfriend Violetta Komyshan agree.

No caption necessary. It’s clear that the Globes took a lot out of Elgort and Komyshan. After spending an entire day (and then some) preparing for the event, we’d be pretty bushed, as well.

Although we’re sad we didn’t party with the stars, we’re so happy to watch them enjoy the 2020 Golden Globes from afar. Sleep well, celebs. You deserve a day off after a night of award winning.
