Becca Kufrin Just Said There’s a ‘Bachelor’ “Ring Graveyard” for Failed Engagements

From Cosmopolitan

  • Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin just revealed there is a “ring graveyard” for failed Bachelor Nation engagements, LOL.

  • And by “ring graveyard,” she likely means that the rings are sent back to Neil Lane, the official jewelers of the show.

It’s a tale as old as time: Girl goes on ABC’s The Bachelor, heads into the competition against 20 or so young women in pursuit of marrying a Very Handsome Man™, girl wins the dramatic final rose in the season finale, and girl and guy live happily ever, right? Yeah...not always. But I’m sure you, Bachelor/Bachelorette stan, already knew that!

So of course, that begs the question of What the heck happens to all those big fat Neil Lane engagement rings when these relationships don’t work out? Today is your lucky day, because former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin is spilling all the tea on where the failed diamonds go. Honestly, it’s waaay bleaker than you probably think.

“I will say there is a ring graveyard,” Becca admitted on The Ringer’s Bachelor Party podcast. “They get to keep them all locked away, hidden from everyone—all the scorned rings.” Yep, that’s right, y’all— those custom-designed diamond rings that you see on the show get sent straight back to the jeweler. It sounds messed up, yeah...but the rings are often valued up to $100,000, so can you blame Neil Lane for wanting them back?

Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison has shed light on this rule before. He confirmed that the rings are taken away from broken-up couples. “There’s some rule, after [the couple is together] a certain number of years, you get to keep it anyway,” he told Us Weekly in 2016. “[If the engagement only lasts] months...it goes back.”

Welp, with that said...please take a moment to appreciate the Bachelor and Bachelorette couples that are still together, okay?
