Beauty influencer and makeup artist Ethan Peters a.k.a Ethan Is Supreme has died, his father confirmed to Fox News on Sunday. Peters was 17.

Peters had amassed a following of over 500K on Instagram and 140K on YouTube by posting edgy makeup tutorials, product reviews, and day-in-the-life-style vlogs. He also recently launched a clothing brand, Hellboy, which he described as "Like a gay hottopic or something."

While his cause of death is unconfirmed, both Peters's father and fellow influencer Ava Louise have commented on Peter's past struggle with drug addiction. "If anyone talks negatively about my friend and his actions over the past year he was battling addiction," Louise tweeted. "If anyone has anything negative to say about addiction I will come for you with a vengeance. Speak positively of Ethan. He was an artist & inspiration. So talented."

As the BBC reported, Peters had been accused of racism and transphobia in the past. Influencer Manny MUA tweeted in support of Peters, saying, "I know he’s made many many mistakes... but to say he deserved to pass away is horrible and inhuman. I pray for his family and loved ones, a horrible loss."

This is a developing story. We will update it as new details become available.
