The Approach: We have a clean, professional style. All our shots are stabilized and we capture multiple sources of audio so we can choose the best one for each shot. We also use long lenses so we can be around the perimeter for the ceremony, toasts, and dances to allow the guests to celebrate with our couple.

The Look: My style is for the couple that (think they) don’t want a wedding video. I started out using exclusively super 8 film, and now that I shoot mostly digital I strive to retain the same emotive, dreamy, perfectly-imperfect look that a handheld evokes. It’s stolen moments and happy accidents that feel human and may seem effortless, but I’m actually hyper-focused on capturing the day through my lens.
The Approach: I just rock up, try to be invisible, and look for the emotion. I edit all my own films because I trust my intuition. I know how a woman wants to be seen and which scenes are an absolute dream. This is also when I fall in love with everyone's families, friends, and obsess over all the guests' outfits and dance moves.
Expert Advice: Be kind to your mom and dad. On your wedding day she is looking at you with the same tear-filled, adoring eyes she had when she looked down at your crib, and it makes my heart jump. Give her hand a squeeze, hug them extra hard, or just sneak a quick pat on the back. In 30 years, you will cherish seeing it far more than your amazing shoes on a windowsill.

When you find a studio that resonates with you, remember that you will love your own film 100x more than the others on their site.
