Unhappy with the casting of Robert Pattinson in The Batman? Well, producer Michael E Uslan has some advice for you.

Back in May, the former Twilight star was officially announced as the new Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' DC reboot. Beating X-Men's Nicholas Hoult in the audition process, he's set to offer a fresh take on the masked detective/vigilante.

Appearing at Germany's CCXP Cologne convention recently, Uslan explained why the R-Patz naysayers should wait until they see the movie before passing judgement (via Comic Book).

"My position is this: Trust the filmmaker and give the filmmaker, and the filmmaker's vision, the benefit of the doubt. Then wait 'til you see the movie," he stated.

"And then once you see the movie, judge the hell out of it. But I think that's really the formula going forward.

"I couldn't be happier, I couldn't be more enthused, as a Batman fan, that Matt Reeves is the filmmaker in charge and has selected Robert Pattinson to be his next Batman."

The producer also reflected on why the actor's casting comes secondary to the story, because it's the superhero himself who fans go to see, not Bruce Wayne.

Uslan believes that Reeves' cinematic vision should be the main focus.

"I think the real key question for fans, and for all of us to focus on, is the filmmaker," he added.

The Batman is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
