Barack Obama “Could Not Be Prouder” of His Daughters for Participating in Protests Against Police Brutality

Barack Obama said his daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama, participated in Black Lives Matter and George Floyd protests earlier this year against police brutality.
He’s really proud of his daughters for taking initiative.
While you and your friends were letting your voices be heard over the past few months at Black Lives Matter and George Floyd protests, so were Sasha and Malia Obama. According to their dad, Barack, they not only participated in protests against police brutality, but they also had a heavy hand in organizing them.
In an interview with People, Obama explained that Sasha and Malia didn’t join in the protests just to join—instead, “they were very much in organizer mode.”
“I didn’t have to give them a lot of advice because they had a very clear sense of what was right and what was wrong and of their own agency and the power of their voice and the need to participate,” Obama said. “Malia and Sasha found their own ways to get involved with the demonstrations and activism that you saw with young people this summer, without any prompting from Michelle and myself, on their own initiative.”
And in a super-cute dad moment, Obama added, “I could not have been prouder of them.”
“Their attitude was—we’ve seen something wrong and we want to fix it, and we think we can fix it. And we understand that it’s not gonna take just a day or a week or one march to fix it. But we’re in it for the long haul,” he continued.
In conclusion: This is just reason number 4,579,621 to fangirl over the Obama family. I don’t make the rules!
