Balmain's SS24 Collection Stolen Before Show

Balmain's Spring/Summer 2024 collection was partially stolen, days before the brand's Paris Fashion Week show.

Creative director Olivier Rousteing broke the news on Instagram, sharing that thieves had hijacked the storage vehicle, stealing several pieces. "This is so unfair. My team and I worked so hard. We will work days and nights, our suppliers will work days and night[s] as well," he commented.

The lorry was carrying nearly 50 garments in total, traveling from the Paris airport to the label's headquarters. Thankfully, the truck driver was safe, but the incident certainly casts a dark cloud on the September 27 show. "I wanted to share this with you to remind you, don't take anything for [granted] and please be safe. This is the world we are living in," Rousteing continued.
