College hockey player scores first goal while dad makes the TV call

Maddie Posick has been a member of the Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey team for three seasons, and on Friday she potted her first-ever collegiate goal.

And although it was one of seven in the school’s 7-0 rout of Penn State, what made the moment even more special was the fact that her father, Brian Posick, was able to deliver the television call.

Now that is pretty amazing.

And not to mention, a great effort by Posick on the play. While trying to handle the pass, she put the puck between her legs and then rifled one by Nittany Lions’ goaltender Chantal Burke.

After watching the video, Maddie Posick was very emotional.

“I was just overwhelmed with emotions,” she said to Todd D. Milewski of Madison.com. “I just teared up right away. I couldn't even look at the video; I just had to hear his voice. Hearing him say Posick, it's making me choked up now. It's incredible.”

Twitter, too, was taken away by the scene.

That is a moment that the Posick family will surely always remember.
