After a couple of truly bleak pandemic seasons spent trapped at a resort, The Bachelorette is finally back to doing what it does best: traveling around the world to different filming locations and making everyone vaguely uncomfortable in the process! But—plot twist—this season still looks a little different. While Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia had the opportunity to visit the finalists’ hometowns and head on a grand European adventure (that I’m still v jealous of!), they did so on board a cruise ship. Meaning the cast and crew were pretty much bubbled except for their day trips into various port cities.

Here’s everything we know about the places Gabby and Rachel visited thanks to a combination of sleuthing and always reliable spoilers from Reality Steve. And naturally, the season kicked off in…

Bachelor Mansion…where else?!

I mean, it’s tradition! The Bachelorette spent the first few episodes of the season roaming the hallowed and emotionally traumatized halls of Bachelor Mansion, which is called Villa de la Vina in real life and is available to rent on Airbnb.

Fun fact: An actual family lives in the mansion, and according to the Today show, they pack up twice a year so The Bachelor and The Bachelorette can film for 42 days at a time. However, after Gabby and Rachel were done with their Bachelor Mansion stint, they immediately headed to…

A Cruise Ship Around Europe

Chic! Nick Viall was the first to reveal that this season would largely take place on a cruise ship, saying, “I’ve heard it’s going to be very different. And it’s going to have a Paradise feel to it. It is on a cruise ship—part of it. I asked people because it sounds like the producers think it’s gonna be really interesting but very different.”

Aside from floating around at sea, the Virgin Voyages ship (aptly called the Valiant Lady) docked for various onshore adventures. Gabby and Rachel’s itineraries were filled with an über-romantic trip to Paris and a number of other pit stops in Belgium and Amsterdam. And if you want to relive the drama adventure, you can either rewatch the episodes now that they’re out *or* take a sneak peek at the trailer ABC dropped a while back:

Of course, after they whittled down the contestant pool to just four people each, Rachel and Gabby ventured back to the U.S. for hometown dates. And there were a LOT of them.

All the Hometown Date Locations

Because there are two Bachelorettes this season, we had seven (7!) hometown date locations (FYI, there were supposed to be eight, but Gabby ended up choosing only three men to advance to the ever-so-coveted round). This whole section is obviously a huge ~spoiler~ courtesy of Reality Steve, so skip ahead if you want to remain pure and haven’t tuned in just yet.

Salem, Massachusetts

Rachel’s hometown date with Aven Jones went down in the witchy capital of the world. Reality Steve dropped a sneak peek of their carriage ride through town:

Wildwood, New Jersey

Behold, the location of Rachel’s hometown date with Tyler Norris! Here they are walking the boardwalk, via Steve.

Bedminster, New Jersey

Gabby’s hometown date with Erich Schwer also took place in New Jersey. And yep, there’s footage of this one too.

Orange, California

Rachel’s hometown date with Zach Shallcross went down in the OC. And great news, we received exclusive content from the date (JK, JK):

Northpalm Beach, Florida

Gabby’s hometown date with Johnny DePhillipo took place in Florida, but it tragically wasn’t caught on camera prior to airing.

Los Angeles, California

Rachel traveled to L.A. with Tino Franco! Guess they stayed pretty under the radar, though, ’cause there weren’t any pics before the episode debuted.

New Orleans, Louisiana

The location of Gabby’s hometown date with Jason Alabaster. No footage here either. 😭

Now that Rachel and Gabby have finally picked their final three each—Aven/Zach/Tino and Jason/Erich/Johnny, respectively—they’re off to overnights, which premiered last night and will continue through today!

Overnights Are in Mexico This Year

Thanks to Reality Steve, we already knew that Rachel and Gabby would be concluding their season in Mexico—where they’re both set to have overnight dates and their final rose ceremonies/potential engagements. Stay tuned for any additional intel here!
