Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay’s Wedding Registry Was Built for Her New Home With Bryan Abasolo
Rachel’s registry is really here! Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo are counting down the days until they get married following their 2017 engagement, and part of their wedding planing journey has included the challenge of building out their new home together.
The ABC reality couple, whose dreamy Rioja proposal was featured on national television close to two years ago, recently moved from Dallas to Abasolo’s hometown of Miami. Adding to the flurry of activity has been a focus on their upcoming nuptials—and that includes the task of finessing their wedding registry.
“Honestly, I’m just excited about being Mrs. Abasolo,” Lindsay tells The Knot. This explains why the former reality series lead added monogrammed towels and other personalized touches to her registry. “I’m probably going to be that obnoxious person that’s wearing this stuff all the time. When people walk into our apartment, I want them to know we’re ‘Mr. and Mrs.’ I have the towels, I’ve got the doormat, I even have the monogram for copper… the matching robe. I’m going to be so extra.”
She jokes, “I will not go by Rachel anymore. I just want people to call me ‘Mrs. Abasolo.’ It’s going to be like, ‘No, excuse me, it’s Mrs. Abasolo.’”
The couple’s registry is compartmentalized by category, including some of the prime items they desire for their new kitchen. Since both Lindsay, a lawyer, and Abasolo, a chiropractor, are focused on fitness and health, it was a natural turn for the pair to request items supplementing their active lifestyles. “The Vitamix is all Bryan. Bryan has been wanting this and I said, ‘Bryan, we’re going to fill out this registry, is there anything that you want?’” Lindsay recalls. “He said Vitamix! That’s it. That’s the only thing he gave me: a Vitamix and the Crock Pot.”

The couple plans to integrate both into their lifestyles, especially since they want to look and feel their best on the wedding ady. “We do drink a lot of smoothies and Bryan is very into juicing… and so that’s why we picked that,” she says. “The Instant Pot, we like to make cooking as easy as possible and so I’ve never used one before, but I heard great things about it. My sister actually recommended that one for me.”
And when it comes to cleaning their new place, the two are in good hands. Lindsay added the chord-free Dyson V7 to the registry too. “This is honestly paying homage to the show,” she says. “When I was on the Bachelor, my welcome package showed me vacuuming with the Dyson. And people were like, ‘Look at that old school vacuum!’ And then somebody looked it up and was like, ‘No these are actually trendy and they’re expensive.’So that was my sister’s vacuum and I thought to myself, ‘You know what? I’m going to put this on my registry because that’s how the world met me at first: dancing with a vacuum.”
Finally, the pair is rounding out their registry with a big focus on experiences (to be specific, their honeymoon!) and a charity of choice. About one in five couples on The Knot Registry end up seeking cash funds and experiences. More than half request a honeymoon fund from their loved ones.
“My life is such a whirlwind. I’m always talking and having to be around people,” Lindsay notes. “I just want to take that [honeymoon] time to make it about Bryan and I in the most beautiful place ever.”

When it comes to their charity pick, Lindsay thoughtfully selected one that was meaningful to her family. “There are so many things that I’m passionate about, and the hardest thing for me was to pick the actual charity that I wanted and this is for my wedding,” she confesses. “I wanted to pick something that strikes a chord with me and it means something to me. Alzheimer’s is a disease that has affected a number of people in my family.” Therefore, she added the Alzheimer’s Association as her charity of choice under The Knot Gifts Back program. Through it, proceeds from the couple’s registry will go directly to the charity.
“Wedding planning has been really exciting for us, and registering for our wedding has probably been one of the top highlights,” she says. “I would definitely say, as women, we get excited to push buttons, but it’s important to include your significant other in the process.”
The couple will marry this year in a wedding planned by event planner Mikie Russo. Designer Randi Rahm will be the mastermind behind Lindsay’s wedding dress.
