‘Bachelorette’ Fans Basically Proved Blake Moynes Arrived Way Earlier Than Shown
  • Bachelorette fans did some super-sleuthing after yesterday's episode and noticed a few continuity and editing errors.

  • Blake Moynes, Thomas Jacobs, and Katie Thurston all had some wardrobe decisions that just didn't seem to add up with the dates.

  • Based on fan theories, Blake arrived on set much earlier.

Week four of The Bachelorette finally brought ~surprise~ arrival Blake Moynes and Thomas Jacobs' shocking exit. But, amid all of the tears, the accusations, the roses, and the honest heart-to-hearts, fans noticed some funky continuity errors that just didn't add up. The editing inconsistencies have some pretty big implications for Katie Thurston's journey to find love, and are worth a deep dive.

Think you spotted them, too? Keep reading to see if you caught these sneaky editing mistakes and what they mean:

Katie's sweater looked suspiciously familiar.

Right before Blake showed up, Tayshia told Katie that a guy from her past was ready and waiting to meet her. Katie looked surprised, but fans were even more shocked to see that she was wearing the same white sweater and skinny jeans from her group date with guest Nick Viall from last week's episode.

That means, Blake didn't just show up this week.

Yep, Blake had probably been hanging out in New Mexico for at least a week before appearing on screen. The producers just edited it into this week's episode to add to the suspense. But, Bachelorette fans never miss a beat!

"Katie wearing the same white sweater as last week 🤔🤔 As in Blake was there last week ?? 👀 #TheBachelorette," one fan tweeted.

"ok is katie rewearing the sweater from the last episode OR was this filmed previously and then slotted in????? how long has blake been there????? #TheBachelorette," another fan asked on Twitter. Good question—a week? Two weeks? More intel to come, probably.

Then, Thomas' pocket square would not stay put.

Thomas, recently evicted villain of Katie's season, also had his fair share of editing issues. While dealing with accusations that he was only on The Bachelorette to become the next Bachelor, Thomas stood out from the other guys in his red suit jacket. (Don't forget he is a real estate agent, folks.) But in between shots, Thomas' pocket square kept appearing, disappearing, and even changing colors. It was all super fishy.

Leave it to Bachelorette fans to get to the bottom of this one quickly, too. Bachelor Fantake spilled all the pocket square tea for viewers in his week four preview Youtube video. A theory flew around that another guy borrowed Thomas' jacket to make it look like Katie was lecturing someone else, but Thomas' elimination proved that couldn't be true.

What's more, comparing the previews and all the shots throughout the show so far, the producers spliced together conversations between Katie and Thomas from at least three different episodes so far.

"Listening to Thomas rn #bachelorette #bachelor," one fan tweeted. Red flags (and suit jackets) everywhere, indeed.
