For Joey's season, Bachelor Nation heads back to basics after America fell for Gerry Turner’s senior version, The Golden Bachelor.

But now, ABC hopes sexy tennis pro Joey, 28, can breathe some life back into the younger show after Zach Shallcross’ Season 27 got lackluster reviews.

Viewers embraced curly-haired Joey this summer as Charity Lawson’s runner up on The Bachelorette season 20, and we can't wait to find out who Joey picks this season.

He fell hard for the child and family therapist but she dumped him for an engagement to winner Dotun Olubeko.

Joey shook off his heartbreak and was named The Bachelor. In a short preview of his season, which aired during The Golden Bachelor's Nov. 16 fantasy suites episode, Joey said, "I just feel the most ready that I've ever been to be in an engagement, a marriage.”

The hunk also told the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, “I am looking for my person. I know for me, especially as I’ve gotten older, there isn’t a type. It’s more about a personality and a type of person. I just need someone that’s willing to be open to taking on life with me. I want someone adventurous. I want someone that’s going to love every day and try to make the most of it. I don’t know what that looks like. I’m one of those people that believes I’ll know when I see it. I’m just really excited for the idea that I might actually find that person.”

ABC released a list of 32 contestants from all over America and Canada on its Facebook page with first names only. However, it’s been reported that a couple of them could have been eliminated before the shoot even began. There has been no official ABC cast announcement with bios yet, so it’s unclear who made the final cut.

According to Bachelor expert Reality Steve, Lea Cayanan earns the honor. When Lea met Joey early during The Bachelorette’s After The Final Rose special, she received a letter from him to open on his season’s first night. Fans will learn that the letter will state that Lea has the opportunity to steal a one-on-one date from any of the other women at any time during the season. But Steve has said that Lea will turn this offer down and Joey will so appreciate her sense of fairness that he gives her the first impression rose.

What are some date spoilers?

Reality Steve has contended that in episode 5, a few ladies have a dinner outside Iglesia De Santa Maria in Marbella, Spain. The cast will also spend time in Canada. Steve has said that gals participate in a street hockey date in Montreal for episode 6, with Maria and Kelsey T. getting one-on-one dates. Other highlights in Canada reportedly include staying at Jasper Lodge and taking a polar plunge!
