'Bachelor in Paradise' star Demi Burnett shuts down critics with NSFW tweet

The offscreen “Bachelor in Paradise” drama continues.

While Blake Horstmann's love square (or is it a pentagon?) is taking center stage this season, Tanner Tolbert just threw the former runner-up a lifejacket. Tanner and Jade Roper Tolbert are one of the most beloved Bachelor Nation couples, having found happiness on “Paradise” several years ago. (They just welcomed their second child.) But Tanner got people all riled up by taking a swipe at Demi Burnett, who is starring on the current season.

In a since-deleted tweet, Tanner compared Demi to controversial winner Jed Wyatt. Wyatt, whom Hannah Brown picked on the most recent season of “The Bachelorette,” got dumped after it was revealed he went on the show while still having a girlfriend. On Tuesday's episode of “Paradise,” Burnett told her love interest Derek she was "casually dating" a woman before the show. But is that the same thing? Bachelor Nation says no way, as he was trashed for the tweet. It also caught Burnett’s attention.

"Oh f*** off, not the same at all. Maybe I can teach you a thing or two about going down on your wife," she tweeted to Tanner.

Tanner fired back, "It’s not the same thing? Then how did I hear about your 'plan' before filming even started?"

Burnett exclaimed there was "NO PLAN," calling him "a grown ass man tweeting about rumors." Tanner responded by telling her, "don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house."

For what it's worth, Hannah Brown doesn't think the situations are the same.

She doubled down, telling a fan the comparison is "irrelevant."

Tanner probably won’t make the guest list if Burnett ends up engaged at the end of the season.
