  • Bachelor alum Krystal Nielson just said that this season of the show is “really scary” ’cause the environment feels “toxic.”

  • She also said that she wouldn’t want her kids on the show.

Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor has been a wild ride so far—not only did the producers send Peter and contestant Victoria Fuller on a date to watch her ex Chase Rice perform (awkward!), but we also had to live through #champagnegate and Mykenna Dorn’s incredibly cringeworthy anti-bullying speech to Tammy Ly. And that’s not even mentioning the offscreen drama—both Victoria F. and contestant Sydney Hightower have had to respond to fans after being accused of lying on the show, and Peter has also been responding to criticism about his performance at the Bachelor.

And it looks like some of Bachelor Nation think that the drama has gone too far. While talking with Us Weekly, Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum Krystal Nielson (you know, the one who got married on this season of BiP) shared that she wouldn’t want her kids on the show. She says, “It’s so crazy watching [The Bachelor] because it feels like such a toxic environment they’re in. Honestly, I just think it’s really scary.”

She went on to explain her comments, saying, “Seeing all this stuff come up for all the contestants now, like, blasts from the past [means] anything could be exposed on this show now, especially with how they are leaking everyone earlier.” So while it sounds like she’s not necessarily saying that the environment she was in was toxic, she’s definitely critical of what the contestants have to go through now.

Very interested to hear what Chris Harrison will have to say about this...
