Awww, Prince Harry Just Had the Sweetest Moment with His Grandparents
Put yourself in Prince Harry’s shoes for a quick sec: For the last six weeks, he—like any dad-to-be—has probably been consumed by worry, nerves and anticipation as he (and the rest of the world) impatiently awaited the arrival of his first son, who we now know as Archie.
Well, the weight of that anxiety has lifted and has seemingly been replaced with new dad euphoria, which was on full display this weekend at Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding to Thomas Kingston at St. George’s Chapel. Harry attended solo, as we’re guessing Meghan Markle had her hands full, newborn baby and all.
Just take a look at the pics of a once-again laid-back Harry, casually chatting with his grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip before and after the ceremony. Harry was not only cracking up his 97-year-old grandpa but also seemed to truly have a moment with the queen, who couldn’t stop beaming during their chat.
Was Harry sharing stories of Archie’s adorable facial expressions? About how he’s already conquering tummy time? Or simply sighing with relief that he’s not the one in the spotlight at Windsor Castle this time around? (Come on, this time last year, it was Harry who was walking down the aisle to wed his dearly beloved.)
Either way, it’s great to see royals acting un-regal—i.e., letting go of the pomp and circumstance for a minute to share a laugh (and probably a few dad jokes).
