Avril Lavigne has an unexpected new hairstylist.

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old took to Instagram to share a video of herself getting a haircut from 25-year-old singer Yungblud.

In the clip, Lavigne sat on a toilet bowl while Yungblud took a pair of scissors to her blonde and orange dip-dyed locks.

"I need a beer! I need a beer!" Lavigne called out, while Yungblud asked, "Are you ready? Are you nervous?" before chopping off several inches of her long straight hair.

"I'm going to cut it into a bob for you," Yungblud added while Lavigne looked shocked to see one side of her hair much shorter than the other.

"'I'm a mess,'" Lavigne captioned the post, while tagging Yungblud. She added a comment that said, "I can't believe we did this to my hair hahah."

Fellow celebrities and fans were quick to show their support for Lavigne's new style.

"Haircut looks great! You did well, [Yungblud]. New song, maybe?" wrote Lavigne's fiancé, Mod Sun.

"It looks amazing, omg," a fan replied.

"Avril, it better be extensions," another fan commented, along with several crying emojis.

"The way I just gasped and yelled, 'What are you doing?!?!" someone chimed in.

"I wanna see short-haired Avril," added someone else.

In September, the two singers teased their potential collaboration on TikTok where the duo danced to Yungblud's song, "Tissues."

Both artists wore all-black outfits, with Lavigne rocking a pair of zippered pants and a black leather jacket. Yungblud also opted for a pair of pinstripe pants with a matching jacket.

"Somethin's coming," Yungblud captioned his post, paired with a black heart and a skull and crossbones emoji.

Fans rushed the comments section in anticipation of the upcoming musical alliance.

"OK, but what's coming? Why does everything have to be so complicated?" one fan joked, while another commented, "Ready for this."

"The duo we never knew we needed," someone else wrote.

"The collab we always needed but never knew," another added.
