Australian restaurant calls smaller meal 'lady' sized, people are fuming

What does a meal for a "lady" mean to you? 

Well, according to one pub in Melbourne, Australia, it means a smaller, healthier version — and people aren't down with that.

The Duke of Wellington features a "Lady Parma" on its menu, which is a smaller version of "The Duke Parma" and swaps the coleslaw on the so-called masculine version out for house leaves. It is also five dollars cheaper, perhaps as an ode to women who get paid less than male counterparts.

For those who don't know, a parma, a.k.a. parmigiana, is a popular pub dish in Australia that consists of a chicken schnitzel with a tomato sauce, ham and cheese topping.

The lady reference in the menu was spotted by journalist Adam Collins, who posted it to Twitter on Tuesday, saying you "can't make this stuff up." Nope, you can't.

Lots of people on Twitter stood up for the sisterhood, using a little bit of sarcasm to get their message across. They are thrilled the pub is watching their waistlines by keeping their portion sizes in check. 

According to Nick Mason on Twitter, another drinking hole had the same description for a smaller version of the meal, which they "wisely removed" recently. Probably a good idea for The Duke of Wellington to follow suit, but as yet there has been no word from the pub.
