Welcome to August, Virgo. Your season is about to start! Last month, some of you reflected on how to best use your voice and social privilege to fight systemic racism, while others focused on your own healing or helped those most at risk for COVID-19. You're a perfectionist and sometimes spend too much time worrying about the details, but you've let that go a little lately as you've been forced to adapt. That's been difficult, and you deserve to take time out for self-care and much-needed pampering.

But don't take too much time out. On Monday, August 3, a full moon in humanitarian Aquarius reminds you yet again that it's always better to speak out against oppression than to stay silent; if you've been overlooked for too long, you'll realize it's your turn to put yourself first and let those with privilege do the work themselves. Either way, the manifestation powers of an Aquarius full moon urge you do to what's best for your community, even when that means stepping back to catch your breath.
It's easy to be mad at those who hold power, but don't let them take your spirit.
Eccentric planet Uranus goes into retrograde from Saturday, August 15, until Friday, January 1 of next year. There's no getting around it — the amount of change we've all been through over the past few months is insurmountable. Many of us lost not only jobs, but loved ones, as well, and may also have fought off COVID-19 or still be in the midst of it. As many organizers aptly say, Black Lives Matter is a movement, not a moment, and we're all working together to dismantle systemic racism. However, amidst these changes, even the toughest Virgo needs to slow down once in a while and learn to be more flexible. Uranus retrograde asks you to accept such changes as the new normal and rise to the occasion by adapting your routine.
It's also time to be more intentional and start to make conscious choices. How do you want to approach romantic relationships? What talents and hobbies outside of your job give you the greatest satisfaction? A new moon in strong Leo on Tuesday, August 18 asks us to tap into our own strength. Yes, you've been through hell, and it's easy to be mad at those who hold power, but don't let them take your spirit. Find joy where you can and spread it around as much as possible. We must not submit to the darkness.
Finally, get ready to celebrate yourself when Virgo season begins on Saturday, August 22. It's a tough time for birthdays, but please bake (or buy) yourself a cake. Celebrate with folks you can safely social distance with, or organize an online donation in lieu of gifts. Take time to enjoy your favorite homemade dinner. You see yourself as a force of justice, and you are. But even our bravest warriors deserve to celebrate their birthdays, so please enjoy. See you in September!

We know many of you may be feeling worried, frightened, or isolated right now. Although the stars don't have answers to the multitude of questions running through all of our minds, astrology may at least provide some comfort during times of uncertainty. We urge you to donate to one or all of these organizations if you're able to; if you can't, we created a guide to ways you can support the BLM movement other than financially.
