Aubrey Plaza put an elevated spin on the menswear trend this week when she stepped out in New York City for an appearance on the The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The Parks and Recreation star gave a nod to the slouchy suit trend of the 1990s in an androgynous cool grey pantsuit which perfectly contrasted with her ultra-feminine deep navy halter top by Babaton. The suit's oversized blazer was adorned with opalescent buttons, and the loose-fitting, pleated trousers sat mid-rise on Plaza’s waist, exposing her belly button.

The actress opted for classic yet trendy accessories, wearing a pair of black pointed-toe Christian Louboutin stilettos, a black woven Bottega Veneta clutch bag, black rectangular sunglasses, and small silver hoop earrings. Her glam also remained chic—her hair was parted to the side in soft waves, and her makeup featured a nude lip and a subtle rosy smokey eye. Plaza added a bold red nail color as the finishing touch to the look.

She greeted photographers with the rock 'n' roll hand gesture while walking into Manhattan's Rockefeller Center Monday night.

Plaza has had quite a busy year. She has been filming for the movie Spin Me Round as well as season two of The White Lotus in Italy for the past several months, and recently returned to the United States to do press for her upcoming film Emily the Criminal, which she wrote, produced, and stars in. The movie premieres in theaters on August 12.
