Atlanta Braves fans can celebrate World Series win in Jackson this weekend. Here's how

Shortly after a phenomenal World Series championship season, the Atlanta Braves are taking the 2021 World Series trophy on tour celebrating 151 years of Braves baseball.

The World Champions Trophy Tour will be presented by Truist bank at the Mississippi Braves game on Friday with festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Trustmark Park, according to a press release from the Atlanta Braves.

"Fans are invited to take photos with the coveted 2021 World Series Trophy while enjoying the game," said Chris Harris, director of communications and media for the Mississippi Braves, noting that a game ticket is required.

The Mississippi Braves is the AA affiliate for the major league team.

Tickets for Friday's Mississippi Braves vs. Pensacola Blue Wahoos game range from $5 to $25 and can be purchased on the Mississippi Braves website.

"The first 1,000 fans will receive a free T-shirt giveaway that arrive early," Harris said. "Also, players on our staff will be receiving their rings during the event, fans are welcome to indulge in that, as well."

Bill Blackwell, executive director of the Mississippi Hall of Fame said the Atlanta Braves trophy will be at their facility at 1152 Lakeland Drive in Jackson.

"On Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame will host a showing of the World Champions Trophy in Jackson," Blackwell said. "Also, we've secured the right to get the 2021 NCAA championship trophy from Mississippi State. The event is free and open to the public. We expect a nice crowd."
