Georgia O’Keefe obviously served as a major inspiration for the designer behind ASOS’s latest viral hit.
The piece, described on the fast fashion site as “fluro two-tone pink origami bow midi bodycon dress,” is dividing the internet, with some saying the party number is clearly just a folded bow, while others are arguing that it resembles the female anatomy.
“Here is a dress that looks like a vαgina. #um #thisisawks,” a photo of the dress was captioned on Instagram from @asbos_sos, an account that asks “asos what were u thinking?”
To celebrate the rebirth of Jesus Christ as a Smarties Easter egg here is a dress that looks like a vagina. . . . #um #thisisawks #uvegotlabiaonurdress #ohitsmeanttobethere #hahalol #pleasegoawaynow #asbos #asos #easterspesh #vagina #ootd

And many were quick to agree that the design detail on the bodice featuring folded fabric with a darker shade of pink at the top with two paler pink strips surrounding it could be seen as a vαgina – more specifically, a clitοris and lαbia.
“Vαgina rose strikes again,” one person commented. “Haha everyone loves a lαbia dress,” another said.
However, others weren’t convinced at all saying the origami bow looked nothing like a vαgina. “What utter nonsense,” one commented.

It’s not the first time a piece of clothing has been likened to body parts.
In June last year, Australian brand Asilio, was thrust into the spotlight after one of their designs was compared to the same part.
The ‘Last Call Top’ from The Iconic was described as being “equal parts saccharine and sultry,” but others likened its structure to that of a vαgina.
And who could forget the moment Today Show presenter Sylvia Jeffreys was ridiculed online for her gown at the 2017 Logie Awards.
Edwina Bartholomew too.
