We asked, you answered: Fans pick their favorite NBA moments of 2017
As the sun sets on 2017 and a new year of basketball begins, it’s only right that we look back on a year filled with buzzer-beaters, outstanding performances and emotional moments.
So, we posed the question … what was your favorite NBA moment of 2017?
It’s not surprising that Russell Westbrook’s game-winner against the Nuggets, which knocked Denver out of the playoff hunt and pretty much secured his first MVP title, was a fan-favorite.
All great moments but I was at Russ’s game and even the Denver fans were going nuts the entire game. Never seen a fan base both deflated and excited at the same time as when Russ’s shot went in. https://t.co/UbNqA0OgdT

"Adams, gives it back to Russ, deeeeep shot… GOT IT! What a perfect ending to a historic day!" https://t.co/jD0UY9gLW9

Russ’ game winner was special because not only did he hit the shot, but it was the same night he broke Big O’s triple double record can’t ask for a better moment! https://t.co/sM47LjlW9w

Russ' buzzer beater vs. Denver because it did three things
1. Won the game
2. Knocked the Nuggets out of the playoffs
3. It sealed the MVP trophy— sharifa mitchell (@MitchellSharifa) January 1, 2018
San Antonio’s ageless wonder Manu Ginobili’s game-clinching block on Rockets star James Harden in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals received plenty of love.
A 40 year old blocking an MVP candidate who was attempting the game winning 3, basically in a series decider. https://t.co/5vki4f1JET

Warriors star Kevin Durant’s dagger 3-pointer over LeBron James in Game 3 of the NBA Finals was another popular pick.
KD’s… I was at that game, that shot KILLED the spirit & energy of everyone rooting for the Cavs at the Q.

Philadelphia’s T.J. McConnell’s game-winner in Madison Square Garden featured an iconic celebration that became Joel Embiid’s Twitter avatar.
"Here's Ilyasova, here's McConnell, can he get it off? YES!" https://t.co/ieldDH8Gka
