Army Couple’s Tear-Jerking Surprise Reunion Caught on Tape

When 2nd lieutenant Jordan Pruitt arrived for class at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio earlier this week, he never expected that he was moments away from the surprise of a lifetime.

Pruitt’s wife and fellow officer, 2nd lieutenant Jamie Douglas, had spent the previous eight months serving overseas in Iraq. Luckily for us, cameras were rolling when she strolled into the classroom where Pruitt was getting Army medical training on Tuesday.

In a video of the emotional moment shared on Facebook by The U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School Health Readiness Center, a shocked Pruitt can be seen bounding out of his seat, rushing to his wife and picking her up in a bear hug.

“What a way to end the class, huh?” someone off-camera says with a laugh.

“We thank this dual-military couple and all Soldiers and Military Families for their service and sacrifice,” the center wrote alongside the heartwarming video.
