Armie Hammer's ex wife Elizabeth Chambers breaks silence on cannibalism claims

Earlier this month, Armie Hammer trended on social media worldwide when accusations of being a sexual cannibal with some especially niche/dark kinks came to light. Now, his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers, who he was married to from 2010 to 2020, has had her say.

In case you need a recap, in mid-January, an Instagram account (using the handle @houseofeffie) posted a series of screenshots which she alleges are disturbing DMs between her and Hammer. Said screenshots appear to show Hammer detailing a number of graphic and violent sexual fantasies, as well as recounting a story about [WARNING: GRAPHIC] a time he once cut open a live animal and ate its still warm heart.

A couple of examples of these messed up messages include "If I wanted to cut off one of your toes and keep it with me in my pocket, so I always had a piece of you in my possession?" and "I am 100% a cannibal" and "I need your blood, I crave it".

Since then, Armie has spoken out to address the claims – which he refers to as "bullshit" – while also explaining he was dropping out of a future acting role. In a statement, reported by Variety, he said:

"I’m not responding to these bulls**t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that."

Now, almost two weeks later, his ex-wife Elizabeth has addressed the claims in quite a bizarre way.

Yesterday [28 January] it was announced Armie's Call Me By Your Name co-star Timothee Chalamet and director Luca Guadagnino were teaming up yet again for a new project - a film about a 'cannibal love story'.

The film will be an adaptation of the novel Bones And All, which follows a woman, Maren Yearly, as she searches for the father she’s never met in an attempt to understand why she has the urge to kill and eat the people that love her.

American gossip site JustJared shared news of the new film on their Instagram page, making the connection between the Armie cannibal allegations and the new film. Elizabeth commented, "No. Words."

You literally couldn't make this up.
