'Big Brother Canada' host Arisa Cox stuns in green gown at first-ever Legacy Awards

Arisa Cox is enjoying the beauty of an unforgettable moment.

The 43-year-old Canadian television and radio personality took to Instagram to share photos of herself at the first-ever Legacy Awards in Toronto. During the red carpet of the inaugural event celebrating Black Canadian talent, Cox wore a sequinned sleeveless green gown featuring a slit covered with feathers.

The "Big Brother Canada" host paired the dress with silver open-toe ankle-strap heels from Gianvito Rossi, silver jewelry and a bright makeup look done by Gregory Graveline.

"Thank you, Legacy Awards, for this moment. Excuse me, but let me enter my Diana Ross / Old Hollywood era," Cox quipped in one of her posts from the evening, as she thanked her stylist, Lisa Williams, and others who helped create her look.

Fans showed their love for Cox's beauty and her gown in the comments section of her post.

"You look so lovely and amazing in the picture," one fan wrote.

"This colour on you! Gorgeous!!!" another added, alongside several flame emojis.

"This is exactly why I won't walk a carpet with you. Classic style," someone joked.

"You are stunning, woman!!!" someone else chimed in.

"The most beautiful," one person commented.

Cox was one of several Canadian stars who attended the awards ceremony at History in Toronto on Sept. 25. Alongside the Toronto native, stars such as singer Deborah Cox, "Cityline" host Tracy Moore and singer Jully Black also attended.

The Legacy Awards, Canada's first-ever all-Black awards ceremony, is produced by Canadian actors and brothers Shamier Anderson and Stephan James. The duo founded the Black Academy in December 2020, an initiative to recognize and foster Black Canadian talent.

In another post, Cox showed appreciation towards Ika Wong, a "Big Brother Canada" contestant who won the Digital Creator Fan Choice Award on Monday evening.

"And the queen stays queen!" Cox wrote in another post. "Congratulations, Ika, on your Legacy Award! I could not be prouder of you and all you’ve accomplished... and this is still just the beginning. You deserve!"

Canadian TV host Tracy Moore also shared her thoughts on the Legacy Awards, while also giving her congratulations to those being honoured. The "Cityline" host wore a purple and pink patterned long-sleeve gown by Öfuurë, and showed off her vibrant locks in a wavy, long style.

"The inaugural Legacy Awards gala was live and lit, and I left feeling so d— good," the 47-year-old Richmond Hill, Ont. native penned in her caption. "Congratulations to the nominees, winners and everyone in our Black communities who have come up despite adversity."
