Ariana Grande is taking on a whole new position this fall.

The pop star is joining season 21 of The Voice as a coach alongside Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, and will be taking over for Nick Jonas.

Grande announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday, writing that she is "beyond thrilled, honored, excited."

"I'm so honored and excited to join The Voice family!" said Grande in a separate statement to Variety. "I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can't wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level."

Given the amount of Ariana Grande covers that have been featured on the show, it should be interesting to see the singer herself as a coach.
