Besties Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, who first met after their collaboration on the song 'Bang, Bang' in 2014, shared a super sweet moment at the 2018 Video Music Awards. Both artists were honored at the awards show and were even seated next to each other in the audience.

When Nicki was awarded Best Hip Hop video for her song Chung-Li, Ariana immediately jumped up to congratulate her friend. But Nicki, decked out in an Off-White Virgil Abloh floor-length creation, struggled to find her footing on stage due to the sheer skirt's length. That's when Ariana quickly jumped in to assist her onto the stage, holding her skirt for her and preventing her from falling.

She then called out Ariana during her speech, "I'm so proud of you. I'm so freaking proud of you, Ariana," and later jumped up to hung the singer when she was awarded Best Pop Video.
