On Sunday, the pop star surprised fans with the happy news in the form of an Instagram slideshow, captioned: "forever n then some." In the first photo, the couple is pictured cuddled up together on the floor, and in the next shot, Ariana showed off her stunning diamond-and-pearl engagement ring in a mirror selfie.

Another snap provided a closer glimpse at her unique ring, which features a pearl positioned next to a large oval diamond slanted at an angle.

"They couldn't be happier, they're just so excited," a source confirmed to People about the newly-engaged couple. "This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled."

It's reported that Grande began dating Gomez, a Los Angeles real estate agent, in January, and the two finally confirmed their relationship in the singer's "Stuck With U" music video four months later following the rumors. In June, they made their romance Instagram official, with Ari posting a gallery of photos of the lovebirds with their arms wrapped around each other.

Aside from a few glimpses on social media here and there, Ariana and her new boyfriend have generally kept their relationship under the radar. A source previously told People, "Ariana doesn't want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton."
