Ariana Grande Announces Brand-New Fragrance One Day After Engagement News

It's her most surprising shade yet.

If you spend time on the Internet, chances are you've been thinking of pretty much nothing but Ariana Grande for the past 24 hours. Yesterday, news broke of Grande's reported engagement to SNL star Pete Davidson. And now, with all 121 million of her followers' eyes on her Instagram account waiting for an official engagement announcement, she instead used the medium to announce a more business-oriented venture: her fifth official fragrance. So savvy.

The snap she shared announcing the news simply reads "New Perfume Coming Soon" and shows floating perfume bottles. In the promo, fans can also see that the bottle will be shaped like a cloud. An unsurprising choice considering it's the same emoji shape she's been using in her Instagram captions of late — not to mention the same image Davidson has tattooed on his middle finger in her honor. It's a great time to launch a fragrance for Grande, who also has a new album, called Sweetener, dropping on July 20.

The as-yet-unnamed release will be Grande's fifth fragrance. Since she first started releasing perfumes in 2015, she's launched her signature scent Ari, followed by Frankie, a gender-neutral perfume named for her brother, Moonlight, named after a song on the Dangerous Woman album, and Sweet Like Candy. Each of the bottles thus far have been shaped like an angular sphere, featuring a traditional perfume pouf. But this unique cloud packaging seems to follow in the lines of Grande's new aesthetic, and what she's been doing lately has obviously been working for her.
