"Angela Bassett did the thing," and so did the internet.

Ariana DeBose is getting the last laugh after her BAFTAs musical number that included a brief rap highlighting women acting nominees by name went viral, launched remixes and even inspired onstage jokes from Lizzo and Adele.

The Oscar-winning "West Side Story" actress broke her silence on the trolling and shared a few of her favorites on Instagram Saturday, starting with a TikTok from Lizzo that featured the "Truth Hurts" singer mimicking DeBose on stage during her concert.

"The internet is wild, yall" DeBose wrote. "Appreciate all the love."

Some of the love included Adele referencing DeBose's performance during her Las Vegas concert: "I certainly don't have anything to catch you up on with my week ... But we did learn that Angela Bassett did the thing, didn't we?"

DeBose also showed off flowers Comedian Wanda Sykes sent with a note reading: "I loved it! You did the thing." And a tweet from Halle Berry.

The rap garnered plenty of reaction on Twitter, some of it positive and some more critical of the performance.

BAFTAs producer Nick Bullen told Variety in a Q&A published Monday, the morning after the London-based awards show that he "absolutely loved" the performance and called any mockery of DeBose "incredibly unfair, to be frank."

"Everybody I’ve spoken to who was in the room absolutely loved it. She’s a huge star. She was amazing," he said. "The room was clapping, and people were sort of dancing to the music. That rap section in the middle, mentioning the women in the room, was because it’s been a great year for women in film, and we wanted to celebrate that. And here is a woman of color who is at the absolute top of her game."
