Here’s What the Original Cast of “Hocus Pocus” Looks Like Today

If there's one movie that defines Halloween, it's Hocus Pocus. The film's popularity is almost cult-like, and it never gets old no matter how many times you watch it. After nearly three decades, Hocus Pocus 2 finally starts streaming on Disney+ come September 30—meaning we can consistently enjoy a double feature of the Hocus Pocus universe for years to come. As we watch the long-awaited sequel for the very first time, we're taking a look back at the original cast to see where they are now.

We first got a look at the cast altogether back in 2018 on Freeform's reunion special. The kids from Hocus Pocus—Max, Allison, Dani, and more—got together for the 25th-anniversary party for the film at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Larry Bagby and Tobias Jelinek (who played Jay and Ice) got back into cages to truly recreate the Hocus Pocus magic. (And yes, that's definitely Vanessa Hudgens, who co-hosted the party with Jordan Fisher, in the selfie with them.) Allison, played by Vinessa Shaw, went totally glam for the bash. One of the best photos of the night featured Max (Omri Katz), Allison, and Dani (Thora Birch). You can watch the party in full online through sources like Vimeo.

Now, it looks like the cast is still doing well. Many of them recently reunited at HorrorHound Weekend, including Jason Marsden, the voice actor for Thackery Binx, and Amanda Shepherd, who played Emily Binx, along with Shaw, Katz, and more.

Many actors from the original cast still act: Shaw most recently appeared on the TV series Swagger. Birch is in the upcoming Netflix series Wednesday as well as the movie The Gabby Petito Story. Katz hasn't done much recent acting but seems to run an online apparel store. Bagby most recently appeared in the series Alien Abductions with Abby Hornacek, and Jelinek has appeared in shows like This Is Us, Stranger Things, and S.W.A.T. Unfortunately, none of them appear in Hocus Pocus 2, but of course, we know Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker do. And fans will be happy to hear that Doug Jones who plays Billy Butcherson also reprisies his role for the sequel.
