'Vanderpump Rules' Stassi Schroeder Gets Candid About Her Breast Lift Scars
Vanderpump Rules' Stassi Schroeder has a PSA to share with everyone: Scars are beautiful. The reality TV star, 29, took to Instagram yesterday to share a photo of her from a recent shoot, which reveals the lower part of her breasts and the scars that resulted from a breast reduction and lift surgery she underwent in 2015.
The plastic surgery procedure reduced her breast size from a DDD to a regular D, and dramatically transformed her look. “My nipples are seven inches higher than they used to be and it’s awesome," Schroeder told People. "I refuse to wear a bra now because I’m so excited that I have smaller boobs and that my nipples are not pointed down to my knees. It is one of the best decisions I ever made.”

Schroeder also told People that during the recent photo shoot (seen below), she made sure the photographer knew not to retouch her scars or remove them from the photo. “I was like ‘Don’t edit out my scars.’ They’re awesome. I like being myself and I feel that everyone should embrace themselves. It’s a scar! Scars are pretty! It’s almost like a birthmark or something like that where it’s something to not be ashamed of.”
She's even been open about her scars in her personal life, embracing her body the way it is rather than hiding it. “Especially when I was single last year and started dating, and then obviously you get intimate with someone and they’re like ‘What is that?’ and for a split second I remember being embarrassed and then like saying ‘F*** that,’” Schroeder said. “I’m so proud of my body because it’s mine.”

Schroeder hopes that by sharing this picture and her story with the world, that it will empower other women to embrace their bodies and scars, too. “We live in the world of the Kardashians right now, and we have to have waist trainers and boobs and a butt, and if we don’t have a small waist with that, we’re not that attractive and everything is hush-hush and I don’t like that,” she said.
