Whenever a brand announces a deal involving free food or drinks, our ears perk up. (Who doesn’t love getting things for free?) After a summer full of free deals on French fries, tacos, and more, it’s time to wash it all down with a similarly no-cost-to-you Pepsi.

How to Get a Free Pepsi

In honor of its 125th anniversary, Pepsi is giving away free Pepsi to everyone across the United States on August 28—the brand’s birthday. To get your free soda, text “PEPSI125” to 81234 on August 28. To redeem, you’ll need your physical receipt or a screenshot of the print screen of your confirmation email if you buy from an online retailer that shows the Pepsi beverage, retailer, and purchase date. The receipt must be submitted to Pepsi via text no later than 9/11/2023, and the Pepsi product must have been purchased between 8/28/2023 and 9/4/2023. Rebates (up to $2.50 per person) will be paid in the form of payment via PayPal or Venmo.

And while we love a free deal, that’s not the only way Pepsi is celebrating the landmark birthday. The brand will also host a dining experience in New York City, called the 125 Pepsi Diner. The experience will be open from October 19-25, and according to a press release from Pepsi, it will bring to life “the unapologetic enjoyment Pepsi has become known for.”

The dining experience will feature design mirroring some of Pepsi’s most memorable commercials and feature memorabilia from the brand’s archives, and guests will be served diner favorites alongside fan favorites such as Crystal Pepsi and wild creations like the Pepsi-Colachup we saw earlier this summer.

Tickets for the event will cost $50 per person, and you can sign up for presale access if you can’t wait until tickets go on sale to the public in September. If you’re not an NYC local, don't worry—there’s a sweepstakes in which five winners will be awarded a trip with a friend to the city and attend the dining experience in person.
