Now that Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden has confirmed that the team is not going to suspend receiver Antonio Brown, Brown has issued a short statement.

The 31-year-old, wearing his practice uniform, said the following:

“I’m excited to be out here today. Want to apologize to my teammates, organization ... enough talk, man, excited to be out here with my teammates, grateful for the fans, excited to be a part of the Raiders.”

And with that he picked up his much-discussed helmet and headed toward the field.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini tweeted that she spoke to Brown and he said he never called Raiders’ GM Mike Mayock a “cracker” during an argument on Thursday.

“Everything has been blown out of proportion,” Brown said.
