Anti-fur activist verbally attacks Chrissy Teigen: 'Shame on you, you heartless murderer!'

As the saying goes, "Out of the kitchen, into the fire" but it turns out model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen can withstand any heat thrown at her.

The social media star appeared to be unfazed following a verbal assault from an anti-fur protestor on Tuesday, which was captured on video and obtained by TMZ.

The activist, Robert Banks, took credit for the verbal hit on an unverified Facebook page, bragging: "I just shamed Chrissy Teigen for wearing real fur."

In the clip, he can be heard yelling, "Chrissy, you should be ashamed of yourself for wearing real fur! Shame on you, you heartless murderer! "You're a heartless human being!"

Teigen, long known for being outspoken on Twitter, seemed to pay Banks no mind, opting instead to pose for a picture as Banks continued his verbal assault" "Shame on you, Chrissy! Why do you hate animals so much, huh? Why do you hate animals, you heartless jerk? You heartless, ugly jerk!"

The encounter happened outside New York's Cipriani 42nd Street restaurant, where Teigen co-hosted a benefit gala for the anti-hunger group City Harvest with Antoni Porowski of "Queer Eye."

The "Cravings" author retweeted an image from the gala shared by "Chopped" host Ted Allen. However, she doesn't appear to have publicly commented on the incident.

USA TODAY has reached out to Teigen's rep for comment.

The Teigen encounter was not Banks' first attempt at celebrity-shaking: he also confronted Teigen's pal Kim Kardashian West at a New York book signing in 2015.
