A 2017 video of Anne Heche talking about how she wants to be remembered has resurfaced following news of her tragic death.

The Emmy-winning actress was pronounced dead on Friday, August 12, after she was involved in a fiery crash in Los Angeles last week. She was 53.

Back in 2017, the Seven Days Seven Nights star spoke with Access Hollywood about what she would want people to remember about her, an interview that has become eerily relevant considering today's news.

After the interviewer posed the question, Heche responded, revealing she would want people to say "that I've made my children happy. And gave them a life that they love."

Heche is survived by her two sons, Homer, 20, and Atlas, 13, whom she shares with her exes Coley Laffoon and James Tupper, respectively.

The news of Heche's death was confirmed on Friday, with a rep for the actress stating, "Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend," as Parade reported.

"Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy," the statement continued. "Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact."

Heche was "not expected to survive" following the fiery crash last week, which left her in a coma after she suffered a "severe anoxic brain injury," her rep revealed one day prior.

In a statement made on behalf of Heche's family, it was revealed that the actress was being kept on life support to determine if any of her organs were viable for donation.

"We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne's recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital," the statement concluded.
