Anne Hathaway announced on Instagram that she and husband Adam Shulman are expecting baby number two. This marks a rare personal update from the Oscar-winning actress, who barely posts about her private life online.

Though she doesn't often share date night pics or couple selfie photos like other celebrities do, you'll probably recognize her hubby from outside of social media. Like Hathaway, he's an actor, but he produces—and even designs jewelry!—too. Here's what to know about the future father-of-two.

He and Hathaway have produced a film together.

Shulman and Hathaway joined forces, along with Jonathan Demme (director of The Silence of the Lambs), to produce the 2015 romantic film, Song One, which Hathaway starred in opposite Johnny Flynn. The actress said she "always felt supported" by her team while working on the film—both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

In 2015, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the couple teamed up again to produce the sci-fi comedy The Shower. Hathaway would also star in the film. They were also set to collaborate on Puzzler together, which was first reported in 2011, although the fate of the movie remains unknown.

He's had a few acting roles.

According to Shulman's IMDb page, he's had minor roles in Ricki and the Flash (which stars Meryl Streep) and The West Wing. He also starred in the TV show American Dreams and the television movie The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning.

He's a jewelry designer.

Shulman, whose middle name is Banks, has a jewelry brand called James Banks Design, which he co-owns with business partner Heidi Nahser Fink, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pieces are handmade in Northern California, according to the brand's website, and its range of designs includes butterfly pendants, hanging light bulbs, constellation-inspired baubles, feather details, and more.

Hathaway fell in love with him at first sight.

The actress and her now-husband first met at the Palm Springs Film Festival, with her later telling her friend, "I'm going to marry that man," she revealed to Harper's BAZAAR UK in 2014. "I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life," she later added.

He and Hathaway had a private wedding in 2012.

The couple tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony in September 2012 at a private home in Big Sur, California, E! News confirmed. The bride wore a stunning Valentino gown as they said "I do" in front of their 150 guests.

They welcomed their first child in 2016.

Shulman and Hathaway welcomed their first child, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, on March 24, 2016, according to E!. Hathaway is sure to keep her son's life private, but she did share a first glimpse of him on Instagram ahead of his first birthday.

He "changed" Hathaway—but in a good way.

The Oceans 8 star told ELLE magazine in March 2017, "He changed my ability to be in the world comfortably. I think the accepted narrative now is that we, as women, don't need anybody. But I need my husband. His unique and specific love has changed me."
