Anna Kendrick has absolutely no filter, and we wouldn’t change a thing about it. And Anna feels the same way. She likes her reputation as being sarcastic and snarky — and she wouldn’t take a page from Taylor Swift’s book anytime soon.

“I could play Madame Bovary and I’d still end up being dry and cynical,” she said in an interview with Net-A-Porter’s The Edit. “There are times where someone will be like, ’Do that thing! You know, do your thing!’ I get mildly annoyed by that. But on a greater scale, I’m lucky that’s [my] reputation; when I’m snarky with people, they know that’s just how I communicate.

She doesn’t want to be expected to have a responsibility towards her fans — like, say, Taylor Swift, for example, who is famously amazing to her fans.

“I’d be terrible at being like Taylor Swift, the perfect Miss America version of interacting with fans and making sure they have a good experience,” Anna continued. “I mean, I don’t want people to meet me and have it fuck up their day, but I’m glad I can say something weird to them and they know that’s just me.”

It’s a good point — after all, Taylor is known for redefining the celeb/fan relationship, and that’s a lot of pressure to take on if it’s not your personality. We love Taylor Swift *and* Anna Kendrick for being their own fabulous selves!
