Angelina Jolie’s Blonde Transformation Makes Me Want to Call My Hairstylist

Angelina Jolie refreshed her hair just in time for spring.
On Wednesday evening, the star walked out of her Atelier Jolie flagship store in New York City with noticeably lighter locks. Her signature dark brown hair had been replaced with wispy blonde shoulder-length layers, styled as a loose blowout with a slight honeyed undertone.
While Jolie is possibly one of the most famous brunettes in Hollywood, she has slowly been taking the blonder route for quite some time now, as evidenced by a few street style sightings in early January and late December. Since then, she's clearly decided to take the fair-headed plunge.
This also isn't the first time we've seen Jolie go full blonde. The actor previously dyed her hair for her Oscar-nominated performance in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted and, more recently, wore a platinum blonde wig for the 2021 Marvel movie Eternals.
The new hairdo stood out in stark contrast to the rest of Jolie's ensemble, which consisted of the typical neutral color palette that she's been following all winter long. This included a black double-breasted trench coat worn buttoned atop a plain white T-shirt, as well as a pair of black-rimmed sunglasses.
To accessorize, she added a black courier bag designed by Giancarlo Cipri, which featured white all-caps lettering across the shoulder strap that recited a quote from Girl, Interrupted: “SOME I'VE SEEN, SOME NEVER AGAIN. BUT THERE ISN'T A DAY MY HEART DOESN'T FIND THEM.”
