Angelina Jolie Opened Up About Her Son's "Wild" Side — and His First Tattoo

Angelina Jolie is one proud mama, and she's not afraid to share that fact with the world – especially when it comes to her oldest son Maddox.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight from Wednesday's London premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Jolie hit the red carpet in a flowing Ralph & Russo gown with children Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox by her side.

Unfortunately, 18-year-old Maddox Jolie-Pitt was still unable to join his family, as he's currently attending college in South Korea. That didn't stop Jolie from gushing over her oldest son, though, as she praised Maddox abundantly in his absence.

"I'm so happy for him that [Maddox has] grown up into such a good man," said Angelina. "I say that 'cause he's smart and he's doing his work but he's also wild. He's balanced in his teenage years." She also dropped an extremely interesting tidbit as an aside about Maddox: "He got tattooed."

Angelina is known for having quite a few tattoos herself, so it's no surprise that her son would also want to get in on the action. She didn't say what Maddox opted for with his first bit of body art, but hopefully we'll get a chance to see it soon enough.

Angelina has been spending plenty of time with the children who haven't gone off to college, though – her entire brood has been with her as she's made appearances at most of the Maleficent red carpets. Maddox himself even reunited with her during the Tokyo premiere, for one. The actress made it clear she's been thrilled to have her family by her side for it all.

"It would be quite lonely if I was doing it all by myself," she said. "It's never fun to focus on yourself anyway. When you're all taking care of each other and you're making a game out of it and being silly, it's nice for me as a mom." Jolie also noted how much she enjoys watching her children get ready for these types of events.

"I'm also watching my kids grow up and watching my daughter put on a beautiful dress and figure out the right heels and all that mom stuff. It just means a lot."

Hopefully Angie will have the chance to reunite with Maddox again at another event or a home visit in the near future – we can't wait to see what tattoo he's chosen.
