Angelina Jolie Donned a Full Beekeeping Uniform For a Special Event

Angelina Jolie is truly the queen bee.

On Wednesday, the actress and activist wore a full beekeeping uniform as she presented graduates of the French Apidology Observatory with their diplomas. Jolie partnered with Guerlain, UNESCO, and the Observatoire Français d'Apidologie for the "Women for Bees" project, which trains and supports female beekeeper-entrepreneurs around the world.

In photos obtained by Page Six, Jolie can be seen smiling in a white beekeeping suit as she spoke to a group of graduates and got up close and personal with a beehive.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Jolie also spoke at the graduation ceremony, where she discussed the everyday things people can do to help bees.

"You don't have to have a large amount of land," she said. "You could keep a few bees, you could plant a few flowers, you could spread a bit of awareness. You can support other initiatives — projects like this. It's just changing your mindset. It's appreciating pollinators, understanding how your food is connected and little things — little kids can just throw a few seeds."

In May, Jolie posed for a National Geographic photoshoot covered in bees to raise awareness for the importance of protecting the bee population.

"With so much we are worried about around the world and so many people feeling overwhelmed with bad news and the reality of what is collapsing, this is one [problem] that we can manage," she said at the time. "We can certainly all step in and do our part."
