Andy Reid dressed up as Santa Claus to celebrate the Chiefs' division title

The Kansas City Chiefs won their second straight AFC West title on Sunday with a 29-13 win over the Miami Dolphins. Conveniently, they clinched with a week to spare, on Christmas Eve.

And conveniently, they have a coach whose nickname is “Big Red.” It turned out to be particularly apt with the holiday and a division championship celebration coinciding.

Before Andy Reid returned to the Arrowhead Stadium locker room to address his team and get the celebrations started, he threw on a full Santa Claus costume.

Reid went with the hat, beard, coat, pants and all. Chiefs players loved it. He pranced into the center of the locker room to give a postgame speech.

Reid was committed to the costume, too. He stayed in the Christmas spirit for his entire postgame news conference:

“Big Red” will forever have a new meaning. No NFL coach could pull off this costume better than Reid.

But, of course, it prompted a wide range of jokes at Reid’s expense:
