Ana de Armas went Instagram official with Ben Affleck at her social-distancing birthday party

Like so many others, Ana de Armas is celebrating her birthday in quarantine this year. The actress turned 32 yesterday, April 30th, and she threw a party with her social-distancing partner, Ben Affleck. In a sweet birthday post, de Armas officially confirmed her relationship with Affleck, whom she is rumored to have started dating back in late 2019. The day was celebrated with smiles, cake, and a smashed-to-bits piñata.

“Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and love!” de Armas wrote in both English and Spanish on her April 30th Instagram post. “Cheers to another great year.”

It looks like de Armas and Affleck spent the day outside eating and hiking—which sounds like a perfect day. Affleck decorated the house with balloons and presented her with a cake that had “Happy Birthday Ana” written in pink cursive.

Of course, because she is The Birthday Girl, de Armas got to wear a “Happy Birthday” crown.

In the evening, Affleck challenged de Armas to break open a star-shaped piñata, which she did at rapid speed. Affleck encouraged her to keep swinging as candy began to trickle out—”Más! Más!”

De Armas and Affleck were first linked in November 2019 when they began filming Deep Water, which has yet to be released. They play husband and wife in the film, and their onscreen chemistry bled offscreen and the new couple reportedly vacationed together in Cuba and Costa Rica soon after filming wrapped, according to Us Weekly.

Now, as is true for many couples at the moment, de Armas and Affleck are spending quarantine together. Hey, you know how the new saying goes: Couples who can get through quarantine together, stay together. It seems like this couple is doing just fine while in self-isolation mode.

Happy birthday to Ana! Save a slice of cake for us.
