So much love. Amy Schumer revealed basically everything there is to know about her relationship with Chris Fischer, including how they first met, when they started officially dating, and how he popped the question, all while chatting with Howard Stern this week.

The Trainwreck actress, 36, shared that there’s a family connection that opened the door to her future marriage. Fischer, the brother of Schumer’s personal assistant, first met the comedienne during a weekend in Martha’s Vineyard. At the time, the chef-turned-cookbook author—whose family farm Beetlebung is based on the New England island—offered to whip up a meal for the comedienne and his sibling.

A little while later, Fischer again re-entered the picture during an amusing situation: while Schumer awaited the arrival of her dog to her home. Finally, the two were tasked with planning birthday party for her close friend Rachel Feinstein.

Schumer shared that there was a definitive moment when she knew he was it. “I got that feeling where all the blood goes to all the places,” she recalled. Schumer disclosed that she got her assistant’s blessing with the entire relationship far in advance. “I’m sure she just didn’t want to get fired,” the comedienne joked.

Their relationship turned romantic when Fischer made the first physical move. “He came up behind me and he put his arms around me and he kissed my neck, and it was on,” she said. “And then we were just so open with each other.”

One unassuming, insignificant night at home, Fischer decided to pop the question. Schumer was already asleep in bed with her ear plugs and hilariously, a night mask, when she awoke to Fischer’s proposal. The chef had a different set of magic words while presenting Schumer with the ring, saying: “I got you this.”

The pair then planned their wedding in a few days. The couple sent texts to their closest friends and family members, inviting them with: “I’m getting married on Tuesday. I hope you can come.”

The couple married on the terrace of a private home along the coast of Malibu. Schumer wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier, and the entire ceremony was rather emotional, according to the bride. Jeff & Mollie Weddings, a documentary-style videography team, documented the couple’s special day, including their vows.

“People are wondering, Why the rush? Why so fast,’” Schumer said in the video. “And it’s because I truly cannot wait to be your wife. I love you.”
