Amy Adams Stars in Netflix’s Thrilling New Trailer for ‘The Woman in the Window’

Netflix just dropped an exciting trailer for its brand-new psychological thriller, The Woman in the Window, which is based on the namesake book by A.J. Finn.
The trailer introduces viewers to Dr. Anna Fox (Amy Adams), who suffers from agoraphobia (an anxiety disorder that makes her fear leaving the house). Because of this, she spends her days sitting near a window, where she secretly watches her neighbors as they go about their daily routines.
When Anna receives a surprise visit from her neighbor, Jane Russell (Julianne Moore), she begins watching the home Jane shares with her husband, Alistair (Gary Oldman).
Anna’s nosiness comes in handy when she witnesses Alistair attacking Jane through the window. When Anna calls 911, she’s presented with a horrifying realization: The woman she knows as Jane Russell (as in, the one who was injured in the attack) isn’t the real Jane Russell. The worst part? Alistair is claiming that the woman Anna saw doesn’t exist, asserting she hallucinated the entire thing.
The Woman in the Window was supposed to hit theaters back in 2020, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Netflix eventually purchased the streaming rights, and the rest—as they say—is history.
The Woman in the Window will hit Netflix on May 14.
