History, like all things, is cooler with flashlights.

Finally, you have the chance to live out the ultimate childhood fantasy. The American Museum of Natural History is holding its next Night at the Museum for Grown-Ups sleepover series, which means the future could hold nothing but you, an empty museum, and a few dozen of your closest dinosaur friends.

The museum is hosting two of its beloved adult-only sleepovers in the coming months, one on May 5 and another on June 30. With each lasting from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the next day, 2017 marks the big event's fourth, and if we're lucky, spookiest year. As Gothamist points out, the sleepover dates coincide with the Museum of Natural History showcasing its Mummies exhibit.

Of course, the event isn't all chills and thrills. It's also a classy affair. Attendees must be 21 or over for what the museum calls a "more sophisticated version" of its popular, kid-friendly Night at the Museum event. Case in point, the festivities will kick off with a champagne reception and music provided by the 12th Night Jazz Trio. Also part of the night is a buffet dinner with evening and morning snacks, free reign to wander through museum halls, a fossil fact-finding tour by flashlight, a live-animal special exhibition, and your very own cot set up under the famous 94-foot-long blue whale in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life.

Alas, recreating Ben Stiller movies doesn't come cheap. For American Museum of Natural History members, a ticket to the grown-up sleepover costs $300 a person, while that number goes up to $350 for everybody else. If you're the kind of person willing to cough up that money to prove all regularly fun things are somehow even more fun in the dark, purchase your tickets here.
