Ryan Murphy’s long-standing anthology series American Horror Story has a smaller, lesser known spin-off American Horror Stories, a similarly named anthology series. For those unaware, American Horror Story has a new plot and cast of characters every season, with occasional connections throughout the show (and names for each season such as Coven, Murder House, Apocalypse, Double Feature). Stories, meanwhile, has a new story each episode, with hardly any overlapping plot. It’s a little confusing, but it helps that one series is only on Hulu, the streaming service, while the other, American Horror Story, premieres on FX before it’s available on Hulu.

Fans of the flagship series will appreciate how American Horror Stories explores strange and unrelated ideas, like Billie Lourd starring as a woman desperate to get pregnant, or Danny Trejo as a murderous Santa hellbent on terrorizing a group of influencers. Much like the original series, American Horror Stories holds nothing back. There’s supernatural twists, blood and gore, and all sorts of weird characters and plots you can only get from a Ryan Murphy production. It’s a horror show that works best on a streaming service, where it won't be held back by the restrictions of cable (although horror shows like American Horror Story and Hannibal have seriously tested the boundaries of what’s possible on primetime television).

American Horror Stories Season 2 is now on Hulu, and much like the first season, the show won’t drop every episode all at once for viewers to binge. Fans of Murphy’s other horror work, including Scream Queens and American Horror Story, won’t want to miss the newest season of American Horror Stories. Here’s when and where you can catch new episodes of the series, and how many episodes are in the entire season.

How Many Episodes are in American Horror Stories Season 2?

There will be eight episodes of American Horror Stories Season 2. The first episode is out now.

Where Can You Watch American Horror Stories?

American Horror Stories is only available on Hulu. Unlike its flagship series, the show won’t be on cable before it hits the streaming service.
