America Ferrera just announced she’s pregnant, so 2020 is off to a happy start
Don’t put away that New Year’s Eve champagne just yet. There are more things to celebrate. Last night, December 31st, America Ferrara announced that she’s pregnant with her second child with husband Ryan Piers Williams. Luckily, we still have our noisemakers from last night’s party, so we’re sounding them off in her honor.
Ferrara shared the exciting news with the sweetest family photo on Instagram.
In it, she, Piers Williams, and their 1-year-old son, Sebastian or “Baz” for short, are standing out in the snow, all gathered around America’s growing pregnancy belly. Ferrera is famously private with her son, so as it often is, his face is hidden from the camera. Still, it’s basically a Norman Rockwell painting and we’re not even mad about it because we’re too happy for her.

Celebrity friends shared their congratulations in the comments. “Congratulations!!!! This is the most exciting news,” wrote Reese Witherspoon. “Amazing news, America—what a happy New Year for you!” said Jennifer Garner. Mindy Kaling simply commented with several exclamation points.
Because life is sometimes a flat circle, Ferrara actually announced her first pregnancy with Baz in a New Year’s Eve photo on the last day of 2017.
“We’re welcoming one more face to kiss in 2018! Wishing you #MásBesos in the New Year! #babybesos #HappyNewYear 😘” she captioned the picture.
