How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World once again turned kids on to the world of fire-breathing dragons and ferocious vikings. If your kids longs to be Hiccup, caring for their own baby Toothless, now they have their chance.
Spin Master, the company that makes Hatchimals, has launched a DreamWorks Dragons Hatching Baby Toothless. The Good Housekeeping Institute got a chance to see a sneak peek of him at the 2019 Toy Fair in New York, and he charmed the heck out of everyone. Just like with Hatchimals, the fun begins when the Toothless is inside the egg: He moves, he shakes, and his eyes light up to let you know he's inside. To get him out, instead of nurturing rubs and pats, you have to agitate him a little — he needs to be mad enough to break out of his shell. You have to tap him, shake him, and get him angry.
Once he's out of his egg, the fun doesn't stop. You can feed him a snack (fish — yum!), hear him roar, and teach him to fly, dive bomb, and do his famous plasma blast. You can also play games with him, like Hot Potato, Ask Toothless, and Toothless Says. If you have a die-hard How to Train Your Dragon fan at home, there's nothing better than, well, actually training your own baby dragon.
